It was there that he wrote most of his work Beith Yossef<sup>3<\/sup> (1522-1562).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\"><sup>1<\/sup> Rabbi Yosef ben Ephraim Karo Zatsa\u00a0\u00bbl was born in 1488 in Toledo and died on the eve of Passover, April 3, 1575 (13 Nissan 5335) in Tfsat. \u05e0\u05e1\u05de\u05da (Matayim Rabanim Nismakh = recognized by 200 imminent rabbis).<br><sup>2<\/sup> Destroyed by the Germans in 1941.<br><sup>3<\/sup> The Beit Yossef (\u05d1\u05d9\u05ea \u05d9\u05d5\u05e1\u05e3 &#8211; House of Joseph) is a code of law that deals with the practical aspects of Jewish life.
