The haftarah also tells of a victory: that of Jephthah over the Ammonites.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>Numbers 20:28<\/strong><br>\u05d5\u05b7\u05d9\u05b8\u05bc\u05de\u05b8\u05ea \u05d0\u05b7\u05d4\u05b2\u05e8\u05b9\u05df \u05e9\u05b8\u05c1\u05dd, \u05d1\u05b0\u05bc\u05e8\u05b9\u05d0\u05e9\u05c1 \u05d4\u05b8\u05d4\u05b8\u05e8<br><em>\u00ab\u00a0And Aaron died there, on the top of the mountain.\u00a0\u00bb<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following God\u2019s command, Moses ascends Mount Hor with Aaron and his son Eleazar. There, Eleazar receives the priestly garments. Aaron dies in silence atop the mountain.<br>Tradition identifies Mount Hor with Jebel Haroun \u2013 \u201cthe Mountain of Silence\u201d \u2013 near Petra, Jordan.
